BACKGROUND:
This is a plain, thick walled glass dome with base ... nothing more, nothing less.
Yes, not really in the line of other items that I have on the website but I purchased this not that long ago with the idea of providing a housing for one of my very special French dome clocks ... Hmmm, that really didn't work out too well (something went wrong and I completely got the required dome dimensions wrong!) so this glass dome has no further use to me or my wife. She did consider trying to fit one of her beautiful Dresden lace figurines into this dome but decided that behind glass in one of the cabinets was better!
So here we go with the description ...

Dome is clear glass (not perspex or a plastic!)
25cm x 13.3mm Inside Diameter
3mm thick glass
Base is metal with a plastic insert on the underside
All metal is Gold coloured
Both the dome and base feel "substantial" and not flimsy (this is what attracted me initially to the dome)

COSMETIC CONDITION:
Like NEW
NO scratches to the glass surfaces at all
NO discolouration to the clear glass
NO damage to the metal base at all
Gold metallic finish is clean, shiny and unmarked EXCEPT for some light "scuff" marks on the inside top but these are extremely minor (resulted from me trying to make this dome "work" with my dome clock!)
For all intent and purposes, this should be considered as a "like new" item and to maintain this condition I have now sealed the dome within clear plastic and of course it will be extremely well protected when shipped!
