Another customised patch lead from days-of-old in the workshops, I think this was used for a wired remote controller of some VTR gear or perhaps musical equipment in the days before IR remotes (Yes, a long long time ago!)
Although multi-pin connectors at each end of the lead, in fact this is just a two core shielded cable.
GENERIC - Custom Interconnect Lead
Country of origin is unknown (no indication anywhere)
DB9 Female plug (plastic shell) at one end ~ DIN 5 Pin circular male connector at the distant end
The interconnecting 4mm OD cable has no identification stamping at all
It is a pretty standard two core (colour coded Red & Black) with an outer braid

There is no "strapping" between pins at the DIN connector
DIN pinouts are a bit different ...
