BACKGROUND:
My wife "collects" but is changing which type of china/porcelain she wants (she is now focused on pre-1900's figurines & art china) and she has come to realise that many of our treasured items need to "leave home" to find a new, caring home to live in.
This is another of her many "orphans", Where Oh Where have the siblings gone? She hasn't found them yet but instead of waiting for them to turn up, here is the poor old lonely saucer just waiting to meet up with it's friends (Ms. Teacup & Ms. Side Plate)
DLAT RATING: 9.9/10 (Darling Look At This!) Nothing is perfect but this is close!
An ageless and extremely successful series from Royal Albert - Old Country Roses pattern, but this is a variant of the original pattern, called Soft Pink Lace. Fantastic if you have the siblings (teacup and side plate) and are just looking for that elusive saucer that accidently dropped to the floor!

ROYAL ALBERT - Saucer

Circa early 2000's
Fine Bone China
Pattern Series: Old Country Roses
Pattern Variant: Soft Pink Lace
Transferware decoration
Background colour is clean, bright White
Design: A classic & timeless Old Country Roses design from Royal Albert with the added touch of a pale Pink pattern used in the background, this is a more contemporary reincarnation of this very old pattern.
I noticed that this saucer has "deeper sides" than most other saucers my wife has handed me, almost dish like.
Being fine bone china, this saucer is translucent (you can easily see the shadow of your fingers through the china when held up to a strong light source)
