Robert Gordon Pottery is based in Victoria and has been in operation for many years in various forms.
Considered quite collectable Australiana but we need the space for our English fine china so this vase must find a new home.
Actually we more pieces from Robert Gordon if you would like to take a look HERE
ROBERT GORDON POTTERY
Design: Wild Poppies
Generously portioned platter or central table dish that will impress, and it is completely Australian made!
The design is interesting, very much "earthy" due to the colouring used and the rims are finished in a dark Green - Brown colour mix. Overall, the dish is very pleasing to the eye, easily fitting in with most dining themes or for general use
Circa 1990's (we purchased a number of Robert Gordon pieces over the years, we are pretty sure this was acquired by us in the late 1990's)
Measures: 340mm x 340mm x 45mm deep (sloping sides) - that's roughly 13.75" square x 2" inches deep in the "old money"
Weight: 2.5Kg - this is no featherweight, substantial and reasonably heavy
BACKSTAMP DETAILS:

COSMETIC CONDITION:
NO chips
NO cracks
NO discolouration externally or inside the dish
NO crazing to the glaze
Just one thing I noticed ... on one side there is a tiny "bump" (upwards feeling) and a slight discolouration at one spot on the side.
Here is a photograph of that "bump"

NOTE: Due to our website policy regarding orders which exceed A$30 in value, this heavy dish will be sent at a fixed shipping cost of $9 to anywhere in Australia, this means that the buyer doesn't need to fret about what the cost may be to send this dish to them (due to the weight).
