W.H GRINDLEY & CO - Saucer ONLY

Made In England

Circa period 1930's ~ 1950's (based on the general backstamp design)

Ironstone

Pattern name: LABURNUM PETAL

Yes, Laburnum is a flower produced by the Laburnum tree (funny enough) and is a bright sunny Yellow in real life although this colouring on the saucer leans more towards a Mustard Yellow.

Opaque, which means if held to the light you cannot see the shadow of your fingers through the china

Design: patterned china but no decorations added other than an overall (top and underside) Mustard Yellow wash

No finishing touches such as Gold gilding is used on this saucer

Diameter: 147mm

BACKSTAMP:

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED

CLEAN

NO chips

NO cracks

NO discolouration to the base Mustard Yellow ironstone

NO wear showing to the Mustard Yellow "wash"

Yes, there are some usage scratches in the topside central area but none of these are of any significance.

Three small, non-coloured (meaning that no bacteria has gone to live in the ironstone!) fleabites noticed on the underside of the saucer

USED Exactly as described
