BACKGROUND
To many this item might be a worthless component sitting on an unused, obsoleted communications equipment PCB but I liked the "look" of this socket and as I am very big on reusing or repurposing old electronic components and hardware, from the point of view of sustainability - I extracted it from the board.
If it still functions and a purpose can be found for the item, it seems so wasteful to toss such items in the "bin to heaven" where all discarded electronic items live!
HERE is a page I have created which gives some tables and more detailed information about specific Ee values (Embodied Energy) for different materials plus a link which you can use as a starting point to investigate Ee for yourself.
Nice socket, well designed and constructed from the well known UK manufacturer, Cliff Electronics.

COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW (Never seen the shaft of a plug!) as extracted from old, obsoleted communications equipment which was still in the original packaging and box.
Extracted from the PCB inside the equipment, this means the PCB pins have seen solder (through hole) in the past but are clean and ready to use again.
Each socket is now individually sealed in a clear plastic packet, waiting to "get to work"
