BACKGROUND:

This pin or jam dish is an example of "contemporary" Wedgwood chinaware, just a nice small dish from my wife's extensive collection to hold a bit of costume jewellery but she told me that in the past she has also used this type of dish for strawberry jam with scones.

Quite small and as I have noticed that some folk seem confused by sizes, I have a photograph showing this dish next to a standard can of Coca Cola to give a better idea of the size.

DLAT Rating: 9.5/10 (Darling,Look At This!)

WEDGWOOD - Pin Or Jam Dish

Made in England

Although contemporary, circa 1970's, this Wedgwood was made in England and not offshore unlike many other English ceramic and chinaware manufacturers who were trying to cut production costs.

Pattern: Clementine

White coloured china base

The design is based on a real flower called Clementine Blue Columbine or Granny's Bonnet (botanical name Aquilegia Vulgaris)
