More OLD (and I mean very old) workshop spare parts that need to find new homes as my previous business activities have all but ceased and these components are of no further use to me
OMRON & NULON - Mechanical Micro Switches
Country of manufacture is Japan (either manufacturer)
I have found two different types of microswitch, here are the details
1: OMRON
Extremely small microswitch ... often used to activate & indicate "end of travel" e.g disc drives
Part # 24 68Z
Source: Geoff Wood Electronics, Lane Cove Sydney (now long gone!)
Type: SPDT
The outer pins of the three are normally closed, when the switch is activated one outer plus the centre pin are active
PCB thru hole mount
Two TINY holes for mounting bolts or pins
All Black plastic body, even the actuator appears to be a plastic material
DIMENSIONS:
Switch body: 8.55mm x 2.6mm x 6mm Height
Actuator: 7.6mm length
Approximately 1.25mm of actuator travel before the switch activates
PCB pins look to be 1.9mm pitch (in a single row)
TESTING:
Being OLD stock, I have tested both switches (opened the packets and then resealed them) and both are operating fine, fast positive switch action with very low contact resistance.
2: NULON
Small microswitch ... often used to as a position sensor
Part # 275-017 (Archer) SL-2NW5 (Nulon)
Source: Archer (Intertan - Tandy)
Type: SPDT
The outer pins of the three are normally closed, when the switch is activated one outer plus the centre pin are active - the common and active solder tags are stamped into the body
Solder tag (with hole) terminations
Two through holes for mounting bolts (not supplied)
All Black plastic body, with a metal actuator to which is attached a nylon roller
DIMENSIONS:
Switch body: 20mm x 6.4mm x 9.85mm Height
Actuator: 18mm length
Approximately 3mm of actuator travel before the switch activates
TESTING:
Being OLD stock, I have tested this switch (opened the packet and then resealed after testing) and is operating fine with a fast positive switch action with measured very low contact resistance.
