This type of thick film hybrid block was in very common use back in the 1980's amplifiers, particularly those from Japan. A nice neat compact amplifier package which suited most users ears although the "purists" of the day still preferred to listen to their discrete transistor based (or valve) amplifiers.
I am offering this device as a "spare part - replacement" as they can be hard to find these days and although you could use this as a basis of building a custom designed amplifier, I think it is probably unlikely that someone would consider this option.
SANYO - Two Channel Audio Amplifier Block
Made In Japan
STK 4833
Technology: Thick Film Hybrid 'block'
Typically provides an average of 30W RMS per channel into an 8 Ohm load(s) with 100mV input drive
THD @ 30W output, claimed to be around 0.02%
Typically uses a split supply around 30V on each rail (+/-)
Datasheets for this hybrid chip is not so easy to find these days and when you do, often it is a poorly copied Japanese language datasheet, life wasn't mean't to be easy! However, the basic specifications can be "decoded" from these datasheets and I have extracted the simple package pin function outline (photograph attached)
USED but extracted from fully functioning audio equipment (the equipment had other issues, one of the crucial input signal routing switches had failed and it was deemed to be un-serviceable as a complete unit)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Clean - meaning that the previous Silicon grease has all been removed completely.
Legs are in reasonable shape and have not been substantially shortened
Now packed (on a stiff cardboard backing to protect the legs) into a sealed clear plastic packet.
