While these teacups are of high quality, well designed Royal Doulton, the "sisters" (saucers) had a mishap so my wife has decided these lonely (yearning for a partner) cups need to be shown the door (life can be tough at times "out you go!") and hopefully the cups will be of use to someone as replacements.
Once again, my wife has instructed me to offer two cups (both in the same condition as described below) and if purchasing both, an automatic discount is applied at the checkout.
ROYAL DOULTON - Tea Cup(s) (we also used these as Coffee Cups)
Made in England (not offshore as so many English chinaware makers did during this period)
Circa 1990's
As expected from this period ... the backstamp states
Dishwasher, Freezer (!), Oven & Microwave safe
We always had a chuckle about the Freezer part, who on earth puts their cups in the freezer!
Bright White fine bone china base
The walls are semi-translucent, meaning if the cup is held up to a light source, you can faintly see the shadow of your fingers through the china.
Transferware NOT hand decorated
Pattern name: Summer Carnival
The design is quite simple and unassuming, pale coloured Mauve, Pinkish and Cream-Yellow flowers with a vine like foliage right around the cup.
Pale Mauve top rim decoration but no handle finishes such as Gold gilding or colour
No colouring around the base foot
Measures: 84mm diameter mouth x 75mm height
"Standard" shaped handle
BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
This is a closeup photograph from underneath the teacup

COSMETIC CONDITION:
CLEAN
NO damage to any part of either cup
NO cracks
NO chips
NO handling wear observed to any of the decorative work
NO crazing is evident
For those who worry about us shipping such an item, we take EXTREME care when our chinaware's "leave home", these cups will be treated like the Dresden lace china figurines we sent to Canada - with extremely careful packaging (and they arrived safely!)
