Offered because one of the biggest problems when restoring old/vintage audio gear is missing knobs! Particularly those that are of the "push on - pull off" variety
UNIDENTIFIED MANUFACTURER - Round Metal Knob
Country of origin is unknown (probably Japan though)
Circa 1970's (the age of the original equipment)
Ex Japanese audio equipment but unfortunately I did not correctly record WHICH model or manufacturer ... probably either Sanyo or Sansui but could also have been early Yamaha
Shape: Long, Round knob with no markings (lines etc)
Material: Aluminium (NOT plastic made to look like metal!)
Finish: Smooth polished
The knob is hollow and inserted into this tube is a plastic fitting designed to mate with the switch shaft ... typically these knobs were used with functions such as Loudness, Mute etc
DIMENSIONS:
19.15mm length x 7.1mm OD
5.65mm ID tube, with the plastic insert recessed inside this tubing about 5mm. The plastic insert has a simple rectangular slot for the metal switch shaft ... I cannot get my micrometer deep inside this knob but estimates are that this slot measures 3.25mm x 1mm
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
Clean
NO significant marks or scratches could be observed on any part of all knob surfaces.
Plastic inserts all look to be in very good condition i.e not misshapen
Each knob has now been individually packed into sealed clear plastic and they now eagerly await a new purpose in life!
