HISTORY:

Some may remember this thoroughly enjoyable stageshow, I did! Way back in 1991 (Theatre Royal, Sydney) An fun musical, quite silly but very danceable (if the management will let you get out of your seat!) about these guys travelling around in space and coming across a 'strange' planet inhabited by a couple of castaways some years earlier ... weirdness and silliness follow

The full synopsis (probably better explained too!) is outlined inside the front booklet. Interesting that the 'future' in this musical is set in 2009 (when the castaways ended up on the Forbidden Planet) and 2024 when they were discovered on the planet.

Based very loosely on The Tempest (Shakespeare), meaning that some well known extracts from that play are dropped into the dialogue (two beeps or not two beeps) but with the backbone of the story being from the original film 'Forbidden Planet' screened in the mid 1950's

I think there may have been other more recent productions too, this album is however a recording of the original 1991 Australian performance.

Full credits are of course on the album artwork however here is an outline of the cast:

CD case, front cover and rear inlay are all in good condition.

CD media is in good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see NO scratches on the media. I then played the ENTIRE release, every track, and there are NO issues with playback at all.
