Classic, "Pink-ware" from J & G Meakin chinaware
J & G Meakin first used the SOL back-stamp in 1912 and this back-stamp looks to be one of the very early SOL designs although the exact year this left the works is impossible to indicate, just somewhere between 1912 ~ 1930's is my best estimate.

All over Pink "wash" with no decorative work at all
Fancy "petal like" shape with an impressed design of banded edge rim lines

Common to both pieces ...
NO cracks
NO chips
NO discolouration or marks to the Pink "wash", colouring is even throughout both pieces
Specific additional information to either piece
SAUCER: No fleabites observed nor scratching to the glaze
SIDE PLATE: Three small (non-coloured i.e no bugs have gone inside to live!) fleabites to the underside and only a few LIGHT knife cut marks to the topside
