Ex the workshop spare part drawers, not matter how few I find, I do not wish to add to the landfill even with such small items.
Integrated circuit sockets are all the same, right? WRONG ...
IC sockets come in many shapes, sizes, physical design (single wipe & double wipe), packaging and with a variety of contact materials, it is important that you read the description below to establish if this is the type of socket you want.
One thing I do NOT have are MIL spec sockets, nor CDIP (Ceramic packages) - I had some nice ceramic packages with Gold plating for military equipment but those were very quickly "snapped up"

EMC is well known for their high quality precision sockets and connectors used in the electronics industry although I am pretty sure these particular sockets are now considered "legacy"
These sockets appear to be from the 26316 51 517 series but as I no longer have the shipping trays, I cannot confirm this.

Appears to be Nickel plated contact areas although I was getting a positive test to the presence of Silver but to err on the downside, I will declare these as being Nickel plated
I have found two types of these sockets, 16 & 20 pin and you can select which you would like using the selection box on this page

** Although shiny, I looked very closely under magnification and there is a SLIGHT dullness - certainly not oxidisation but neither are they that "brand new bright shiny look" either ... I am happy though that they will still perform their purpose just fine.
NOTE: I did wonder if these were Ag plated and I have a chemical solution for testing for the presence of Silver AND it did come back positive but I am not 100% convinced so I am referring to these as being Nickel plated contact areas and pins.
NO damage to any of the socket bodies or the thru hole pins
