CLEAN

To many folk this item would be seen as just a used lump of aluminium but I am big on reusing or repurposing old electronic components and hardware, particularly from the point of view of sustainability.

HERE is a page I have created which gives some tables and more detailed information about specific Ee values for different materials plus a link which you can use as a starting point to investigate Ee for yourself. Formed Aluminium creation is one of the greatest users of energy, just about the worst metal to throw away!

Great for a custom project or upgrading the heat dissipation capabilities of existing equipment, particularly in the power supply or audio amplifier driver sections, perhaps even discrete low power audio output stages.

UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER - Aluminium Heatsink

It was quite some time ago that these were purchased and used in a special audio driver stage "prototype" production run ...

I cannot recall even the supplier of these nor the country of origin

Completely unbranded or coded

Material: Aluminium with Black anodising

Heatsink dimensions:

60mm length x 32mm depth x 16mm height

Dual fins, 6 fins on each side

Central to the heatsink is a channel which is designed for a single TO-220 device, a single hole has been prepunched

Weight: 14g

No additional support pins or holes provided, if this heatsink is to be used in other than "free-standing" position, some means of support will need to be devised.

COSMETIC CONDITION:

USED (but practically "like new")

CLEAN, meaning there are no Silicon grease deposits left behind

Practically no scratching and certainly no heatsink is deformed in any way.

Black anodised coating is unmarked, in fact the only sign that these heatsinks have seen some use is a slight discolouration in the central channel area, where the semiconductor was mounted.

USED Exactly as described
