Grafton (and after 1949, Royal Grafton) was the trade name used by A. B. Jones & Sons (Ltd) with their works located at Longton, Stock-On-Trent England and they operated between 1900 ~ 1971

Translucent china, meaning that when held to the light you can see shadows of your fingers.

Pattern: Floral Garland
Decoration is comprised of Blue, Yellow, Pink & Red flowers with foliage and the colouring is vivid but with a soft pastel colouring.
Finished with Gold gilding applied to the scalloped rim
The artwork technique is transferware, not hand painted. This was a period when most English chinaware works were moving away from the expensive hand painted processes and trying to cut costs.
