BACKGROUND:
Another mystery from the boxes on the "knobs" shelves ... a mystery because sometimes I did not record which equipment the knobs were extracted from and this is a set of those a.k.a a knob without a name!
My memory isn't what it used to be but I have this feeling that the knobs came from a 1980's receiver/amplifier combo from AWA (I think) - it doesn't really matter because these knobs could be used in a multitude of 'old school' audio equipment.
UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER - Round Knobs (Offered individually with discounts for more than one purchased)
Country of origin (most likely): Japan or Taiwan most likely. Although I recall the AWA equipment, it was long after the days when AWA was THE all Australian designer and manufacturer of wonderful electronic equipment (many technicians and engineers 'cut their teeth' at AWA, Ashfield) - in later years, AWA was a brand name only but manufacturing was undertaken offshore.
Circa 1980's (I think)
Material: Hybrid construction with a solid Aluminium outer shell and a nylon insert for the shaft fittings.
This is NOT one of those horrible "spray on metal" fake/pseudo "metal" knobs used by many Asian manufacturers in this time period.
There are no manufacturing trade names or other markings on any of the knobs.
Nice polished Aluminium finish
Nice fluting all round and running vertically down the sides of each knob
Top face of the knob is a smooth finish
A short pointer has been cut into each knob, no infill is used to colour this pointer.
Inside the 'Aluminium shell' of the knob is inserted the nylon assembly for a fluted control shaft, standard size

NO significant marks or scratching to either knob component, all are in very good condition. By significant I mean there are no obvious scratches or dents! I can see a very light spot of discolouration on the top of one knob but honestly I am being extremely fussy here!
Bright, shiny, attractive finish to the Aluminium on all knobs - these will set off any piece of equipment very nicely.
Nylon fitting on the underside is secure and not cracked or damaged in any way (all knobs)
I have now packed each knob into individual sealed packets to maintain the current condition, this is how they will be supplied.
