Ex workshop spares drawer
This jack is just a bit different to your "run o the mill" types
1: It comes from the 1970's ~ 1980's
2: Heavy duty Brass body with Black thermo plastic central finger grip
3: Can be used to create a TS or TRS plug, just insert the appropriate plug section at the "front"
Currently this plug is supplied with a TR (Mono single channel) Gold plated plug, I couldn't find a nice Brass plug to match the body. The "boys" used to call these 'plug n play's' due to the ability to make the plug into either a mono for instrument/audio use or stereo.
USED
Clean (Body & supplied TR plug)
UNIDENTIFIED MANUFACTURER
1/4" Jack Plug
I strongly suspect this body was a UK sourced product but it was a LONG LONG time ago ... there are no identification markings on the body at all
"Ordinary" Gold plated TR plug is supplied (as pictured) but you can change this with something you may have in your own "spare parts" drawers - the thread is "standard"
Comes with a professional insulating sleeve (neoprene)
Also included (original) is the steel, heavy duty cable relief tail
Orientation: Straight
Heavy duty body construction, stand on this plug body and it will NOT crush under the foot!
Solder tag terminations are clean and ready to re-use OR fit your own front "plug section"
DIMENSIONS:
65mm plug length
Brass barrel body is 14mm diameter x 35mm length
6.25mm diameter rear entry via the spring cable relief
The cable relief is a decent 57mm length
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
Brass body finish has been buffed up a little, "Hey mate! that's a nice golden looking plug you have there!"
Solder terminations have been desoldered cleanly and ready to accept new cabling
Internal insulating neoprene sheath is actually a new one
We used to make these up as "specials" for that vintage look but this is the last one left - there will NOT be any ongoing supply of this plug type.
