Reminiscing those great heady days of 1980's local music!
Of course these were the artists who had pushed ahead of the local music industry 'masses'. Writing up this description took me a long way back in the mists of time ... my stomping ground was Sydney and the live music scene was buzzing. Particularly near Central Sydney, around Ultimo, Glebe, Newtown area there were bands playing in every little nook & cranny and then if we went over to the Eastern Suburbs, there was Selina's at Coogee Bay and I seem to remember another spot down at Maroubra (at the surf club) and also taking frequent trips down to Sutherland area to watch this fantastic band called INXS. Of course there were probably lots of similar "night life" spots over on the Northern Beaches but that wasn't our "patch" and we tended to stay in the central city area for our music. Such great bands in nice small venues where you could get close to the bands or artists ... those were the days. Many of those acts went on to much bigger things and others (who were just as good) faded into the twilight for various (often non-music related) reasons.
Most songs are now pretty "Ho Hum" but a couple of standouts (for me) ... Max Q who was actually Michael Hutchence doing his own thing and those crazy guys and gals (Magda was with them) from D Generation, remembering particularly Rob Sitch. Fun, crazy times ...
THE ARIA AWARDS ALBUM - Winners And Nominees (1989)

Australian release
Dual box format case, booklet, front and rear inlays are all in very good condition with no personal writing.
Both CD media are in very good condition, visually inspected under a bright white halogen light source and I can see NO marks or scratches at all on either CD. Just looking at the discs is not a great way to judge the condition (and I wanted to take a trip down memory lane!) so I have played this release ENTIRELY, meaning every track completely on each CD, and there are absolutely no issues with playback.

For those who take an interest in such things ... look at those 'carts' that Rob has to his left - that was standard equipment in radio stations of the '80s & '90s - these are not consumer cassettes but special 1/4" endless loop tapes in a cartridge which had a few minutes or recorded material, stopped automatically and cued automatically for the next play
