HISTORY:

Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.

Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.

If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE

Disc Ceramic Capacitor

Z5U Series

Value: 0.02uF (103) 20nF

Voltage: 1000V DC

Tolerance: ± 20% (M)

Radial leads

Z5U's were general purpose capacitors, known to show wide variations in value due to environmental conditions and circuit design operating conditions. See my test results below ...

LABEL IDENTIFICATION ON THE BODY

DIMENSIONS:

Body: 3mm thickness x 16mm diameter

Leads: 5mm Length x 0.5mm diameter tinned wire

COSMETIC CONDITION:

CLEAN

Leads are shiny and ready to be made use of once again

TESTING:

Wherever possible I like to test used components, these have been tested and the capacitance values are:

15.65nF

16.24nF

17.03nF

18.39nF

18.59nF

18.73nF

All are reading on the low side of the nominal value, with all but one within the 20% tolerance band and the 15.65nF is only just outside this band - nice!

USED Exactly as described
