SOME MUSINGS ABOUT VISUAL PRESENTATION OF PRODUCTS ...
This album artwork got me to thinking once again that a truly creative artist is not just all about their music but also how they present it visually.
In our years of audio production for artists, we saw some truly amazing visual creations such as handmade packaging for Metal bands cassette releases, all nicely tied together with a ribbon! These were sold at the door of the venue and made you feel like you were truly getting something very special.
I was always amazed at the very creative artists who produced beautiful music, then sent their demo on a plain old hand written CDr to the A&R folk at various labels! Boring as ... those talent seekers at the labels get thousands of demo's and to be noticed, an artist needs to package their wonderful music so that it smacks the A&R people in the face "Hey! This is special, take a listen to this!" A plain old CDr in a blank jewel case is more than likely going to end up living in the rubbish bin!
Enigma (and they are not alone) have at least presented their music in an interesting packaging (if not easy to read!)
ENIGMA - Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! (The King Is Dead! Long Live The King!)
Virgin Records
Cat# 7243 8 42066 2 8
1996
European release
CD case, front cover and rear inlay are all in very good condition with no personal writing.
SPECIAL NOTE: The front booklet and rear inlay are all printed onto see-through plastic so that images from each page overlap other pages ... nice artistic touch!
CD media is in good condition, visually inspected under a bright White halogen light source and I can see just a couple of very light scratches on the media. Just looking at the disc is not a great way to judge the condition so I have played the ENTIRE album, every track completely, and there are no issues with playback at all.
TRACKS: Le Roi Est Mort Vive Le Roi!, Morphing Through Time, Third Of Its Kind, Beyond The Invisible, Why!..., Shadows In Silence, The Child In Us, T.N.T. For The Brain, Almost Full Moon, The Roundabout, Prism Of Life, Odyssey Of The Mind
Such a powerful music video!
