Another trip down memory lane, while I was not into gaming with the original XBOX or Playstations, my son was and I ended up getting deeply involved in the technical side of those machines (for those who remember, you may recall the "chips" installed into Playstations to defeat the regional protection so you could play Japanese games (much better) or even CD-R copies - that was my area of special interest (writing the code and programming the PIC chips) At the same time, lots of folk had the original XBOX's and I used to supply all manner of "things" for those machines as well.
Most of the accessories, programmers and chips have all gone (long ago) to other people but today I found this very retro AV adapter sitting in one of the spare parts drawers, the adapter is for use with the original XBOX - still in the original packet after around 40 years or so!
The purpose of this adaptor, when used with the XBOX, provides conversion from analog video plus two audio channel outputs for use with a television (CRT!) with a SCART input socket (better picture on the television) Actually this adapter is pretty generic in use, it works with other gaming machines too and I seem to remember PS owners also used these with their SCART input televisions.
