BACKGROUND
Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.
If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE

QC COMMENTS:
In our experience, we placed these into the budget grade, for use where the jack was not "mission critical" and did not get a lot of use ... why? While the jack socket is put together well, the leaf contact switch (uppermost leaf with the ball contact on the underside) is critical in it's placement and the metal used would seem to be a bit "soft" i.e with constant use the angle of this uppermost contact leaf can change so that either the switch never "opens" or when the plug is inserted, it goes "make-break-make" and stays at make - not good. The metal used does not seem to have the right amount of "spring" and slowly over time, it tires and does not return to it's original shape. Fortunately it is easy with fine flat nosed pliers to adjust this contact leaf but then ... perhaps a different socket might be a better choice.
Just being brutally honest here ...
For normal "light use" these are fine but for pro use, I would strongly suggest to look elsewhere such as a good solid Switchcraft or Neutrik product.
I HAVE tested each of these sockets to ensure the contacts are operating correctly ... all good.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW old stock
All metal work is clean and shiny
Solder eyelets are "ready to go"
I have now packed these into individual sealed packets.
There are only a few left, and I will not have any further supply after these have gone, so the more you buy ... the lower the cost per socket.
