Blue Jasperware with White relief depicting a typical Roman/Greek Neo-classical scene of Cupid sitting and two Muses (Goddesses) to his left. Possibly one of the muses is Cupid's mother, Venus. One of the Muses is touching the tip of Cupid's arrow (on his left) and his bow is to his right.
While Venus represented love, pure love ... Cupid was also like his Mum but was often associated with Erotica. Perhaps this is why one of the Muses is touching the tip of his arrow and could be saying? "Oh my Cupid ... what a sharp tip you have?" with a tinkle in her eye.
Hmmm ... we like to be a bit flippant about these things, life is too short to be serious all the time!

This piece is NOT perfect, very small imperfections were noticed ...
USED
Clean
NO chips
NO cracks
NO discolouration
NO cracks to the body of the dish
NO damage to the relief artwork EXCEPT ...
I noticed (with a magnifying glass!) that there is a very fine line (coloured Black) between the breasts of the uppermost Muse. Cleaning did not remove this, in fact it looks for all the world like a crack in the relief work.
On the rear of the dish are two very very small White "dots" which I can feel with my finger, these could be dirt or even a dot of White paint but I am not about to go scraping away at the dish to find out!
