ALL components have been sourced through reputable local distributors, in this case, Promark who were one of the official Siemens distributors in Australia at the time
Siemens (Germany) farmed off their passive component divisions to TDK - EPCOS a long time ago, around 25 years ago in fact! This means these PTC's are old and unfortunately also getting the correct datasheets was not easy as well.
Like the age of manufacture, it was a LONG time ago that we used these in our manufacturing ... but I have dug out some information that should assist.
SIEMENS - Thermistor
Part # Q63100 P2430 C850
Q63100 simply refers to the Siemens Thermistors as a whole, I think the P2430 was a local Promark code and C850 is the thermistor type. Usually there would a long Bxxx code (Siemens loved long meaningless codes!) also on the packet but in this case, there isn't one marked.
I have dug out some of the old Siemens databooks and below are a couple of snapshots with the technical information.
Each device is simply marked as
(Siemens logo) PTC C850
DIMENSIONS:
12mm diameter x 5mm thick
35mm tinned wire leads, 0.6mm diameter still on the tape
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Old Stock
Always stored in the distributor's original packet
Leads are clean and shiny
