HISTORY:
Cleaning up the spare parts section of our previous workshops and came across this little beauty from the days when Philips were a dominant force in the world of loudspeakers, actually in electronic components in general. My latest Philips databook (500+ pages) only goes up to 1985 and this loudspeaker is from the 1990's era so the deep technical details couldn't be found, just the basic info is provided.
These were used in Australian made professional communications systems, front panel loudspeakers, so the useful frequency response range is most likely in the region 1K ~ 3K
New and it was still wrapped in the original soft (cotton like) Brown material - never used but tested in any case.

Power handling could not be confirmed (my databook doesn't give info on this exact type) but I would estimate 250~500mW would be the ball-park figure

The basket is substantially Black plastic, not metal

TESTING:
Basic "Go-NoGo" tests made because although the loudspeaker is new, it is old stock.
DC resistance tested at 6.7 Ohm, that's fine. Pumped some low level tones into the speaker, also fine.
I have now packed this speaker back up in the original "wadding" and then within a clear sealed packet, awaiting some sort of purpose in life (imagine how lonely this speaker must be, sitting in some Brown wadding, in the dark!)
