My wife has tons of fine, beautiful china and porcelain pieces, not just teasets but figurines and assorted tableware such as this vase ... she used to say "you can never have enough vases" well, that saying has come back to bite her because she now realises she has far too many!
While this is high quality, well designed Royal Doulton, she had to use some sort of culling method and this vase is taking a walk out the door only because it is "too young" compared to her present pre 1900 interests.
ROYAL DOULTON - Bud Vase
Made in England (not offshore as so many English makers did during this period)
Circa mid 1980's ~ 1990
Bright White fine bone china base
The walls are translucent, meaning if the vase is held up to a light source, you can easily see the shadow of your fingers through the china.
Transferware NOT hand decorated
Pattern name: Moonflower
Pattern code: H5104
The design comprises pale Blue moon flowers which in "real life" are popular for night gardens, opening at dusk and closing by morning. This design is duplicate on opposing sides of the vase.
The top rim and base foot is decorated not with your usual Gold gilding but Platinum
Measures: 115mm tall (4.5") x 95mm wide (3.75") at the widest point of the bulbous body and the mouth is approximately 40mm diameter (1.5")
BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
This is a closeup photograph from underneath the vase, NOT a cut//paste from somewhere else online (I have seen others do this! Look for identical decorators marks with the online stuff, these are a giveaway that the seller has just cut//pasted other peoples photos)

COSMETIC CONDITION:
CLEAN
NO damage to any part of the vase body, including the rim or lip and the base foot.
NO cracks
NO chips
NO handling wear observed to any of the decorative work, all colouring remains as it left the works
NO crazing is evident
