PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Shaft & the entire top section is plastic
Underside of the body is metal
Body of the pot measures 20mm OD x 9mm height
Black plastic shaft is 39mm in length
Designed to fit a 10mm hole cutout
Black nut is supplied (looks to be coated Aluminium - very light) but no lock washer.
TESTING:
Being old stock and just the one pot, I have made some basic tests ...
Track resistance is 21.35K Ohm
End of track lowest resistance is 1.3 Ohm at either end
Resistance measured at wiper while travelling across the track is consistent and as expected - no dead spots observed.
During this testing I had the distinct impression this is a film pot, not your traditional carbon track,
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Old Stock
Clean
NO physical damage to the pot
Slight oxidisation to the PCB pins but these remain very serviceable. Some light oxidisation to the metal section of the body but again, nothing to write home about ... just slight discolouration.
Now that I have finished examining this pot it has been resealed into a clear plastic packet, waiting for another workshop it can call "home"
