You won't see these components very often, in fact they are as scarce as hens teeth in the consumer marketplace!
Mod pots were designed as a Modular potentiometer system, used by the very high quality designers and manufacturers at Allen Bradley & Clarostat. Both of those companies were acquired by Honeywell some 20 years ago. While Honeywell doesn't directly offer custom Mod pot services, there are distributors who can custom create a Mod pot to your specifications, using the modular nature of these pots.
One such company is State Electronics (USA) also operating as potentiometers.com take a look at their website to see the very wide range of pots and services they offer.
These components I am offering are the mechanical hardware parts of a Mod pot, to suit the standard 5/8" square panel-mount pots, commonly known as the Series 70 & 72's
I do not have (or at least I have not yet found) any of the resistive modules, conductive plastic or cermet and I think it is unlikely that I will - these physical components are the "left overs" from our special projects section - long since defunct.
These components that I am offering are used to secure the resistive modules, Mod pots could have just one or multiple resistive modules and switch modules for special needs. I see that these days there are even motor modules for these pots.
To make it clear ... these components will NOT allow you to design and manufacture a complete Mod pot - the most essential element is missing, the resistance module! Perhaps you are repairing a Series 70, 72 pot or even have some resistance modules waiting for a bit of hardware to put the pot together.
In any case, these parts are of no use to me any longer and I just hope that someone can see potential for these ... they were not "cheap" and are precision engineered, I can't bear the thought of simply "dumping" them.
All of the Mod pot hardware components described below are NEW and unused**, sourced from a distributor (ASCON)
** I noticed that while checking all of these components, the front metal plate locating tabs had been bent or completely removed in some cases (details below) which means that someone did intend to use that component although it was never put into service.
The asking prices are ridiculously low because the world of production electronics is well over for me and now I am focused on finding new users for these bits & pieces
MODULAR POTENTIOMETER HARDWARE COMPONENTS
To suit use with 5/8" square panel-mount pots (A.B or CLAROSTAT)
Suits Series 70,72
The following description is of each part, there is a series of selection boxes on this page so that the buyer can buy "this and that" and oh, one of those too ... flexibility is the name of the game (nothing worse than requiring a single shaft and having to purchase a whole bag of them!

** I noticed that while 16 of these do have locating tabs, 8 do not have a tab ... this is a current option (#4) from State Electronics
I also noticed the orientation of some locating tabs had been changed from vertical to horizontal - these should bend (carefully) back to the original position fine.
Quantity available maximum 24
ASCON Part # 12303 (D12303)
Description: Black backplate - these are stamped with the manufacturer's name and Mod Pot
NOTE: 16 of these backplates are stamped CLAROSTAT & 8 are stamped A.B (Allen Bradley)
Quantity available maximum 24
Two long shaft brass bolts with nut/washer - found in one of the packets, not a complete set but perhaps of use to someone, just ask for them to be included with your order.
No vernier drives, no resistive modules, no spacers and no bolts (other than the couple of Brass bolts/nuts I found in a packet)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Unused with the exception of any comments I have made above re the locating tabs
CLEAN
Each component is in their own sealed packets, I am fine with supplying just a single piece of hardware if that is all you need for the task at hand
