Ex workshop spare parts and small manufacturing stock
GENERIC - Rotary Potentiometer
Country of origin is unsure! (Possibly Japan or Taiwan based on our previous component sources)
Body of the potentiometer has no manufacturer ID or codes other than the value and taper type (B)
1 Meg Ohm Ohm Log (B) taper
Horizontal PCB mounting although the tags/pins could also be hard wire soldered
Part # not marked
300 degree rotation
Panel mounting (supplied with washer & nut)
"Locating tab on one side" to secure in position on the panel (using a small panel hole)
Integrated SPST power switch, rating unknown but I wouldn't be pulling more than 1A through the contacts ... these are solder tag terminals.
DIMENSIONS:
Shaft: 10mm length x 5.9mm diameter spline
Mounting hole: 8.9mm
Body: 23mm diameter x 18.5mm deep
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Old Stock
Clean and undamaged physically
As this is old stock and has been sitting in one of the spare parts drawers since forever (I think this is a pretty old pot), I have checked a few things ...
Track reads 1.38 Meg - a little high but allowing for a probable tolerance of 20%, it isn't too far off the mark from 1Meg
Wiper to either end, lowest resistance achievable is 0R2
Resistance change, as measured between the wiper and either side of the track shows a smooth linear change as the shaft is rotated - no flat spots noticed
Switch closed resistance reads 2 Ohms and when "off" it measures infinity
I have now placed this pot into a sealed clear plastic packet
