Standard cassette case is in very good condition, meaning there are no cracks or pieces missing, no personal writing. Pad printed Blue on a Grey/Greenish clamshell which is the screw together type, meaning that if ever you wished to get "inside" (or relubing or whatever) you can do this fairly easily but watch out for the unspooling tape or you may quickly have a room with tape all over the place!
Before playing I repacked the tape (wound fully forward then backwards to the beginning so that the tape is re-tensioned) and carefully visually inspected the clamshell, rollers and head pressure pad - no issues with the shell or tape at all.
The audio is clean and sounds very good, wide frequency range with no apparent high frequency drop off, no "drop outs" and the program material has been played on both Side A & Side B entirely. Actually a good "test tape" due to the piano playing on the song Year Of The Cat - if a cassette machine is having issues with getting the tape from source to pickup reel, piano music will show up any problems instantly!
