ISSUE ALERT

While the "issue" is not highly significant, this copy does have some low level noise and one very short, low level mistrack during Layla (Side 1 Track 1)

If you like your vinyl to look pristine ... "nothing to see here, move right along"

If you simply love these classic songs from Eric and don't mind a little very low level surface noise, this could be for you!

UK release

Gatefold cover is in very good condition, no personal writing externally, no tears, no seam splits and only very light handling wear to the edges although there is some creasing near the spine on both the front and rear. Comes in the original "Priceless" inner double side printed sleeve which promotes some magnificient releases of the time such as Black Sabbath, Alan Parsons, The Who, Blind Faith and many other UK performers of the day - real drool material!

Special note #1: In the description above I state "no personal writing externally" however INSIDE the sleeve (where the record sits) are two personal messages. These are not visible unless you take a gander inside the record pocket.

Special note #2: I have 'test played' this album a number of times, cleaning with the VPI in between each play - why? Each time I played the vinyl some track 'gunk' was lifted off the vinyl, even with the repeated cleaning (although less with each clean). These grooves must have been pretty dirty initially and further cleaning may well improve the audio - something to keep in mind.

New plastic inner sleeve

Vinyl is in good (minus) condition, this means that I have visually inspected the record under a white halogen light source and I can see a number of very light ~ light scratches or scuff marks on either side. Just looking at the vinyl is not a great way to judge the condition so I then played the vinyl (both sides) ENTIRELY and while there are no significant issues with surface noise or clicks/pops, there is some "background' low level clicks or surface noise from time to time, probably the noisiest section (meaning more audible regular clicks) is Side A, track 1, the wonderful song Layla instrumental section in the outrun of the track. Actually I think I heard one very quick, low level mistrack! during this passage of track 1. The remaining tracks on Side 1 AND all of Side 2 play without any mistracking. Overall, this is a really good compilation of recordings from Eric Clapton from the days of Derek & The Dominos/Cream and his solo work.
