While "Western" music genre's were our main bread n butter in the days of audio post production, we always tried to broaden our horizons by listening to "other" music even if we couldn't understand the lyrics! This album is one such example ... pop music from Italy, sometimes even shifting into a more pop rock style.

With this album though it wasn't just the music, look at that cover! If that doesn't scream the late 60's to you ... then nothing will. More as a marketing ploy as I wouldn't describe any of the songs a being "psychedelic"

Actually it is important to read the condition report in this description because while the cover may appeal visually, the vinyl condition leaves "a bit to be desired"

So who are the performers on this album?

The singers/vocalists (Cantano), some of which were well known in the 60's & 70's in Italy and others not so well known,  are:

Edy Brando

Barbara

Luciano

Lia

Rudy Rickson

Sergio Mauri

Gianni

Kino

Instrumentation provided by an orchestra under the direction of Mario Battaini

Italian release

Cover is in very good condition, meaning that there are no seam splits, no tears and only medium edge wear from normal handling. Only downside is the matt White(ish) rear cover which does show some "grubbiness".

New inner clear plastic sleeve

Vinyl is in good (minus) condition, visually inspected under a bright White halogen light source and I can see a number of scratches or marks on either side, particularly Side A on the first couple of tracks due to poor tonearm handling. I thought this might be 'interesting' but took the plunge as  just taking a look at the vinyl doesn't cut it, you need to actually play the entire album to make an accurate judgement on the condition so I then played the ENTIRE album, every single track. There is certainly an increased level of surface noise although still very listenable. Additionally there are a number of tracks, particularly those near the run-in areas, which have some low level clicks at times. At no time was there any mistracking though.

All vocals are in Italian, where possible I have added an approximate song title translation so you have an idea of what the song may be about ...

TRACKS: Un'Avventura (An Adventure), Non C'È Che Lei (There Is Only Her), La Pioggia (The Rain), Le Belle Donne, Baci Baci Baci (At The End Of The Road), Io Che Ho Te (I Who Have You), Cos'Hai Messo Nel Caffè (What Did You Put In Your Coffee?), Lontano Dagli Occhi (Out Of Sight), Un'Ora Fa (An Hour Ago), Una Famiglia (A Family), Ragazzo Mio (My Boy), Che Freddo Fa (How Cold It Is), Tu Sei Bella Come Sei (You Are Beautiful As You Are), Zingara (Gypsy), Meglio Una Sera Piangere Da Solo (Better To Cry Alone One Night), Il Sole È Tramontato (The Sun Has Set), Zucchero (Sugar), Il Treno (The Train), Il Gioco Dell'Amore (The Game Of Love), Un Sorriso (A Smile), Piccola Piccola (Little Little), Quando L'Amore Diventa Poesia (When Love Becomes Poetry), Bada Bambina (Be Careful Little Girl)

Wow! so hip and take a gander at the double mic setup!

The artist in this video is NOT on this album but I hope by hearing the song that you can get an idea of the musical style on this album.
