Service Issue: Primarily, this is simply obsolete! POSSIBLY sound issues (see below) but still a useful laptop in some specialised applications (see below)
NO servicing has been undertaken
NO major components have been removed
Battery (66Whr) 14.8V 4480maH installed, Charged with no problems and ran the laptop for one hour from the battery with no issues.
Installed memory: 256Mb
CPU Intel Pentium 4 1.8Ghz
Floppy drive 720/1.44Mb (working)
Installed hard drive: 30Gb
NO installed WiFi module
Installed DVD drive: Toshiba DVD ROM SD-C2502
Keyboard: good condition
LCD display good physical condition and working fine
Touchpad functioning
Audio appears to have an issue - drivers are ok, settings look fine but no sound on the laptop from any input (Mono only)
Installed OS Win Professional XP 2002 SP 3
Just some specialised radio programming software left on the laptop
The laptop has had a "hit" to the rear left corner, this has damaged one of the USB ports (cannot insert USB connector) but the other USB port remains useable.
Mis-shapen DVD drive surround but this does affect the operation of the DVD tray
Original DELL PA-9 External power supply IS supplied (20V 4.5A)

Great for specialised use - we used this laptop for on site radio equipment programming and some IT comms via the Console Port, both serial comm use
Although it does have XP Pro installed, it can also be used for direct (or wireless via a dongle) internet access, it is a bit slow and "clunky" for those purposes.
