BACKGROUND:
Sustainability is the name of the game! Anything (that has been tested and still functioning properly) should be repurposed creating saving in wasted Ee and reducing the poisoning our environment when items are buried in the earth at the local tip needlessly.
Never heard of Ee? It is a concept that creates a measurement of ALL things (not just electronics) that humans have made and the energy used in obtaining the raw material, processing the materials right through to a finished product and even should include the shipping of the item to the distributors/retailers.
If you would like to know more about Ee values, please take a look HERE
I always try to "save" bits and pieces that may one day come in handy for that special project, this is one of those items ... tiny 2mm diameter stainless steel (ferrous) ball bearings!
These were extracted from a turntable tonearm pivot bearing system. I didn't know exactly how many of these tiny ball bearings people might want so they are in small packets of 25 ball bearings, the more packets you want to buy ... the lower the cost.
It's not really about the money anyway, you just will never find these at your local hardware or electronics retail outlet.
UNKNOWN MANUFACTURER - Ball Bearings
Stainless Steel
2mm Diameter (micrometer measurement)
Clean, shiny
Undamaged
I have painstakingly counted 25 ball bearings into each small sealed packet, actually I added 1 or 2 extras for good measure (at my age, repeatedly counting to 25 gets a bit tiresome so I added extras in case I got my count wrong) These were too light to use "weight counting"
The price showing is for one pack, purchase more than one pack and the price starts sliding down the hill!
