Back to cleaning up my previous audio post production workshop spare parts. Closed and "retired" from the game quite some time ago and I am ever so slowly working through the bits and pieces that need to find new workshops to "live in"
I am very much "into" sustainability, a manufactured component (no matter how small) represents an appreciable amount of embedded energy and to waste that embedded energy is a very bad thing, even worse is to bury it in landfill and subsequently poison our environment!
What is embedded energy?
Embedded energy is a measurement of the total energy that was used to create a component, a module or a complete piece of equipment originally and should include all processes used in the manufacture of the item, from obtaining the raw materials, processing them, making the product and then shipping to another manufacturer in the "chain" or being supplied directly to stores as a finished product for retail sale.
These are quality corner protectors, mean they stay in place and can take the knocks of being on the road. Many "other" corner protectors are either plastic (good God, that won't last long!) or 3 hole mounting. The corner protectors I have left over from the production days are steel (ferrous), thick walled and use two securing screws PLUS a curved stud which "digs" into the wooden cabinet. It takes a mighty heavy knock to damage or dislodge these.
I will supply in multiples of 4 pieces (one for each corner, either top or bottom) and although I only have a small number of these left, the more you buy, the lower the price goes ...
UNBRANDED - Corner Protectors (Guards)
Steel (ferrous) this is NOT the softer Aluminium types
Colour: Matt Black
Method of manufacture: press formed steel
Securing system: 2x holes for screws (or bolts) plus a curved stud (where many other protectors use another screw)
DIMENSIONS:
Steel thickness: 1.2mm
Here is an actual photograph of the protector, added to which are some approximate dimensions so that anyone considering these protectors what size they are ... amazingly I found folk online who didn't even say how large their protectors were! Talk about "hit & miss"

The two hole diameters are 4mm
The stud is 6mm height, and the shape is curved, meaning that it will penetrate the equipment case very securely.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
NEW Unused
Clean
Matt Black finish is fine, for the most part. A couple I noticed had rubbed away the Black just ever so slightly due to the way they had been packed together. I have now separated all protectors from each other and then created 4x packs in sealed clear plastic packets.
