This unique album tells the story of Australia since the arrival of the British, its "birth and development" by using song and the spoken word.
Released as a collectors vinyl to celebrate The Bank Of New South Wales 150 Year Anniversary, the first bank in Australia. Their logo looks familiar doesn't it, that is because the bank was renamed Westpac Banking Corporation in 1982.
This is the 2nd edition.
Narrated by Peter Gwynne
The album was devised and produced by George Patterson P/L (the advertising agency)
Much of this album is spoken word, telling the historical changes in Australia since arrival of the British and is punctuated with musical numbers throughout.
NOTE the opening track features the celebrated Wandjuk Marika playing the didgeridoo ... representing a time before the British arrived.
