HISTORY:
These current sensors have been extracted from the EATON ePDU (USA) that I have had here for ages (new) but no-one had an interest in it (probably because it was designed for a 3 phase supply)
I decided it was time to undergo "the operation" and the EATON ePDU is no more, items of interest are now being offered separately. It's a shame really because the EATON was one very capable and clever Power Distribution Unit, intended for server room applications but I guess the 3 phase AC input put most people off!
The ePDU had the capability of extensive current monitoring on each phase and these sensors allowed for the measurement of the magnetic field created by the current passing through the wire under test. No wiring or physical connection to the wire under test, it is just passed through this sensor. The sensor is a very high permeability ferrite with coil and the voltage induced into this coil is measured by the main system board electronics. I am to offering the main board with this sensor so the user will need to create their own device to read the signals from this sensor.
I am offering this sensor for the experimenter or builder of custom high current equipment, low voltage or higher voltages (up to around 240V AC)

I have no doubt this is USA manufactured product but they have made no markings on the ferrite based sensor ring, the only markings are the ratings for the flying lead sheath but not the overall component.
Regardless, this sensor has been extremely well made - both the sensor and the nice flying lead.
Measured Inductance: 19~20 Henries (!) I have no idea of the ferrite characteristics but this does indicate the material used has a very high permeability value (μ)
I have a few of these, all identical physically but there was some slight variations of the electrical characteristics across all of the sensors.
One sensor has a much longer flying lead than the others, 95cm in fact (compared to the remainder which are all 50cm in length) If this longer flying lead is of particular interest, just use the selection box on this page to ensure you get the longer lead version.

COSMETIC CONDITION:
Like NEW (as you would expect because the ePDU was new and had never been in service)
NO damage to the sensor ring(s)
NO damage to the flying leads
Each sensor is now packed into a sealed, clear plastic packet
