NEW Old stock
Ex our workshop spare parts - at the time (1990's ~ early 2000's), these were very expensive as they were direct UK imports but worth it because of the quality build.
We used this type of connectors for our audio connections to consumer/domestic equipment, unbalanced single channel with each connector.
These RCA plugs have a central hollow pin which is Silver plated. Feed the centre "hot" connection through this pin and "sweat" solder at the front. The ground or cold connection is a small solder tag at the rear.
Screw on all metal body and at the entry point of the cable is a squeeze compression two piece clamp.
The coding ring is easily changeable if different colour coding is required.
RS ELECTRONICS (UK) - Phono (RCA/Cinch) Plug
Country of origin: UK
Stamped into the metal body rear section is RS MADE IN UK
A long time ago, RS Electronics did use to manufacture connectors but later they rebranded other manufacturers products from both the UK and Europe (Neutrik was one of them) I would have to say this is one of their earlier products, made in UK by RS Electronics.
Gender: male
Part number: unknown
All metal construction with the exception of the central insulator cylinder, I suspect this is PTFE material as it does NOT suffer with excessive heat when the centre pin is being soldered.
Body is Nickel plated (dull Silver Grey finish)
Identifying soft plastic code ring which sits comfortably (and flush) within the metal body
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
Clean
The body (particularly the rear section) does have some light scuff/useage marks on either plug but nothing "serious"
Soldering points are both clean and "open" i.e the centre hollow pin is not filled with solder!
This advertisement is for the set, two identical RCA plugs which only differ in the coding ring colouring.
