HISTORY:
My "world" is 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.
While the world of 8mm/Super 8mm is not my area of expertise, I am doing my best to establish the condition of each item that I am listing.
I tend to be quite detailed in my item descriptions, please READ all the details to decide if this item may interest you.
Now, on with the description ...

TESTING:
Test projector is the ELMO 1200 that I have on hand at the moment.
Film looks to be clean and in good condition, sprocket holes are not damaged.
A White leader film is fitted.
I ran the film through the projector for approximately the first four minutes, to observe the picture and check that the sound quality.
Yes, the colours have shifted to the Red/Pinks but not as severely as other films I have been watching lately! The colouring is more like a Brown and I can see Yellows, Greens and Blues - it actually suits the film setting in the early 1920's! I also have discovered that my simple "point n shoot" camera that I use does tend to amplify Reds and isn't great at following "fast action" which makes the still shots blurry.
The sound is what I would describe as "below par" meaning that it remains easy to understand and the songs sound fine too but the high end of the audio frequency range has "dropped off the cliff" so the sound doesn't sound clear - imagine Julie Andrews singing with a handkerchief in her mouth! It's a little like that ...
In my opinion, after this brief test, I am happy that the film is as stated on the case and looks to be in fair technical condition.
I am very fastidious and careful with these films and I have now packed the film into a sealed clear plastic packet, along with a couple of packs Silica Gel (at the suggestion of a "film buff") to maintain the current condition and this film is now patiently awaiting a Super 8 film enthusiast to add to their library.
