BACKGROUND INFO:
I am not a 'film enthusiast' and my past working life has revolved around electronics (many fields including communications, industrial and audio) and "The Arts", more specifically, creative arts such as handcrafted fine china, ceramics and landscape artworks.
An associate has asked me to help find new owners for HIS large collection of photographic and film items ... this is yet another one of those items. I am frequently asked "THE QUESTION"
So how many films do you have, Russ?
My response is ... boxes and boxes of them, perhaps 350+ films are now left for me to look through ... plus a few projectors
Another question I am often asked "Can I come and have a browse through the films?" Sorry, but the answer has to be a flat NO!
ALL film stock is safely away in my storage units, nice n cool and out of harms way, each day (or so) I will retrieve a few films, take a look (and smell!) at each film ... absolutely NO ONE can just casually "browse" the collection. My associate wouldn't like that and neither do I.
There is a lot of detail on this page plus even more HERE ... I strongly suggest anyone who is interested in this film to read everything carefully, including looking at the link. To not do so is at your own peril!

COMPILATION OF MOTION PICTURE TRAILERS
This looks to be a collection of Widescreen trailers ... the formats don't look right using my "normal" projector and many of the trailers mention Widescreen or even 70mm formats
Here are the titles and duration in the order as they play off the reel
TRAILER 1
Title: There's No Business Like Show Business (1954)
TRAILER 2
Title: Dr. Zhivago (1965)
TRAILER 3
Title: Roller Coaster (1977)
TRAILER 4
Title: Shoes Of The Fisherman (1968)
TRAILER 5

400 Feet Black unbranded (Country of origin unknown) reel
The library case (with drop down front door) is a EUMIG from Austria.
Leader film is fitted to the reel
Colour
Sound (Mono)
COSMETIC CONDITION:
USED
CLEAN
The EUMIG (Austria) library case with drop down door is in good condition, no physical damage but it does have an area of glue residue which I could not remove. It is labelled with the contents (pretty uninformative really) TRAILERS using Red dynatape on the spine.
The reel is not cracked or damaged
NO personal writing on the film reel or the library case
NO film clip is fitted
TESTING:
Test machine: ELMO 1200ST
The projector film path has been completely cleaned prior to running this film through the machine. I now have a "running sheet", my maintenance schedule if you like - I record when each maintenance is performed because I am running a lot of films through the machine.
Film stock on the reel, including the sprocket holes, appears to be physically undamaged across the entire reel as I played this reel entirely.
Here is a "blow by blow" account of the colour and sound on each trailer - the colours are not brilliant overall but perhaps the Cinemascope or Widescreen aspect might interest someone.
TRAILER 1: There's No Business Like Show Business - Lacking Blues but not too bad overall, lots of Reds, Browns, Yellows and reduced Greens.
The sound is fine on this trailer
TRAILER 2: Dr. Zhivago - Another piece of film which lacks the Blues so the picture is very much in the Browns, light Reds and some Greens almost Sephia like at times. This trailer easily runs for the longest time compared to the other trailers.
Sound is fine on this one
TRAILER 3: Roller Coaster - Colours are primarily Reds, Browns (meaning there is probably Green in there) and it looks like some Blues because the skyline is a Mauve colour! A good picture, although somewhat boring as the trailer seems to be just a view whilst riding a roller coaster! No other scenes from the movie.
Sound is fine but again, pretty boring as it comprises mainly the "clackety clack" of the roller coaster ride.
TRAILER 4: Shoes Of The Fisherman looks all squashed up on screen, meaning squashed from the sides and stretched vertically (different format?)
Colours are acceptable but not brilliant! Reds, Pinks, Browns and even some Green but the Blues look to have "left town")
Sound is fine
TRAILER 5: Ben Hur
Lots of screens saying how great this movie is e.g "Winner Of 11 Academy Awards" etc Quite Pinkish (light) looking, not a lot of other colours in this one!
Sound is fine
SPECIAL NOTE: I felt I needed to add this little note ... whilst viewing the film on the screen, it actually looks "less Red" than the photographs would indicate but still ... pretty Red, there is no hiding this fact. My antiquated digital camera (very old, one of the very first 'point n shoot' models!) just isn't up to the task in regard to colour representation nor the ability to portray contrast properly. The screen shots I take are now taken with the film on pause which gives an improved image but the light is dimmer and quite blurry as it is difficult to stop the film at "just the right spot" These photographs are only a very rough guide for what to expect in any case.
This reel of trailer film is now stored in a cool, low humidity environment while it awaits a new owner to consider bringing to their home ...
