Royal Standard was a trademark not the pottery works, this trademark was used by Chapmans Longton Ltd. This company was among the famous Staffordshire pottery companies, and based at Albert Works, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The tradename Royal Standard was in use from 1930 onwards, previous to this it was called Standard China
DLAT RATING: 9/10 (Darling Look At This!)
Smooth, nice clean pure White base colouring decorated with multiple single stem Violet/Black Pansies (or are they Viola's?) with foliage and more much smaller White flower blooms which look something like miniature Roses. My wife collected this type of teaset because it is a departure from the 'stock standard' Pink, Red, Yellow or even Blue flowers - the decoration is 'different'. Oh and why the colour description of Violet/Black (I hear you wondering), in some light the petals appear as a Violet almost dark Grey but in lesser light levels, they appear Black.

Circa 1970's
Bone China
Pattern: The name of this pattern is unknown but the number could be 3008 as this has been hand written at the works next to the teacup backstamp
Translucent, which means if held up to a strong light source, you can easily see the shadow of your fingers through the china
Shape: The teacup has straight sides (no shaping) and the handle is of the hi-back (Queen Anne) style. The saucer is pretty 'standard issue' with a scalloped rim
BACKSTAMP DETAILS:
Makers mark printed on the base of the teacup (under the glaze)
Makers mark printed on the base of the saucer (under the glaze)
DIMENSIONS:
TEACUP: 91mm mouth x 74mm height
SAUCER: 145mm diameter
COSMETIC CONDITION:
This first section of the condition report is universal to both pieces, any difference or flaws are noted below this section
CLEAN
NO cracks
NO chips
NO crazing
NO discolouration observed to any area of the pure White base china, particularly inside the teacup where there is no tannin or other staining.
NO wear or damage is visible to the decorations on either piece, even the flower decoration inside the teacup mouth.
NO damage is apparent to any part, such as the teacup handle or top lightly scalloped rim
NO observable wear at all, not even the most handled areas such as the teacup handle and saucer edges.
SAUCER:
Specific to the saucer ... there is one small, non-discoloured, fleabite to the underside of the saucer. The area is clean and there is no discolouration which makes it quite difficult to actually see.
There are no further comments specific to either piece
