Of course ANY old capacitor that has seen any sort of service must be tested ...
Capacitance reading: 3350uF
ESR 0.8
Vloss 0.6%
While C tolerance is usually around 20%, this measured value appears a little high but after some "reforming" when in circuit, this value will most likely change.
The ESR reading is fine for linear power supplies as is the Vloss reading, indicating low leakage in particular.
