HISTORY
If your heritage is Anglo-Saxon, this wonderful book could well be of interest to you. Our daughter took a great interest in our very early family history, from the arrival of William The Conqueror to the shores of Pevensey Bay in Sussex, 1066. But she wanted to know more about the Norse and as a result she had this book. Once read from cover to cover, it has ever since sat on the bookshelf until last week ... "Dad, I don't need this book any longer, shall I put it in the bin?" Of course being a person who values SUSTAINABILITY very highly, I was horrified at the idea, I can remember my mother in this sort of situation "Wash your mouth out dear! Go back and read it again!" So this book is seeking a new owner who also wishes to learn much more about the Norse and possible connections with their own family (however tenuous that may be!).
Not only is the book absolutely loaded with some very interesting myths, legends and tales (60 in fact) but it is such a good read, it presents so well! Cased in a stiff cardboard outer box, the book inside being hard cover and with such great graphics!
Paper quality is reasonable, not gloss though and this book is for the reader, not those who like to browse through pretty pictures!
Let's get down to some details ...

I have now sealed this book within a CELLOWRAP plastic (non-reactive with paper) and then inserted this into the case. I then sealed the case in the same manner, with cello-wrap and in addition to this, again sealed the case in clear plastic - the cello-wrap is quite delicate but with normal plastics there is a risk of chemical leeching from standard plastics into the paper - this is the reason I have packed the case and book in this manner.
