Finally I have a moment to add some further comments

Now that the Revox and Sansui A2000 are out of the way, next thing I am playing around with is the AKAI AP-Q310 fully automatic turntable with some "interesting" features such as auto repeat (why would you want this but anyway ...) Not a Thorens or Planar but its not a bad little plastic beastie. My next larger piece of gear will be some multi-channel DENON, not sure of the model number as it is still in my storage units but it will go onto the workbench shortly along with a number of other interesting bits and pieces.

I still have masses of components but time is my enemy and I often get sidetracked by others who wish to have their own items added to the website e.g my wife's wonderful collection of "arty" things and chinawares.

Yet another "side line" is the film stock and projectors, this is a very time consuming activity so I haven't had a lot of time to sort out the films, run up the projectors, check what works and what doesn't and then advertise them ... those who may be interested in old Super 8 "things" need to be patient with me please.

USA is still marching down the path of self destruction but sensible countries are taking steps to side step the chaos and continue advancements in all aspects of life. I was surprised to learn recently that the ONLY country to have made a visit and undertake scientific experiments on the DARK side of the moon is China. It is not easy controlling and landing a spacecraft, maintaining the power systems in the dark and without direct communications back to Earth for monitoring and control ... an amazing technological feat. It's advances like this that show who is really making big advances in space technology, certainly not the "traditional players" such as USA.
