HISTORY:
This framed art print dates back to the early 2000's although almost 25 years later, these art prints can be purchased online from Audrey's own website. The artwork is identical but the frame options on her website have changed slightly over the years. Actually her current target market on the website appears to be USA as all of the image and frame dimensions are in inches not centimetres.
Make no mistake, this is a fine, high quality art print NOT the original! Our pockets were not that deep!
Audrey is an Australian artist who worked with different mediums but seemed to prefer watercolours and her subject matter wasn't limited to Australian wildflowers but extended across our wildlife and landscapes.

We do know that when this art was purchased, she was operating a business under the name SIMPLY BERRIMA but registration of that business name ceased in 2009.
Beautiful art in typical soft, pastel like colours which are so well portrayed using the watercolour medium, the fact that this is a print doesn't mean the art is degraded at all, in fact unless viewed very closely, it could easily be mistaken for the original.

You do not need to puzzle over what each of the flowers are because on the rear of the painting is a complete botanical name guide for each flower in the artwork - nice touch!

DIMENSIONS:
Outer frame: 452mm x 372mm - we would call this a medium size frame
Artwork: 300mm x 220mm
These dimensions should come in handy so that the new owner can work out just how it will appear when hung on a wall, cut out a sheet of paper the same size as this artwork frame and move this sheet of paper around the wall while viewing from a reasonable distance so that you can judge the expected "presence" of the artwork in the room ... if the wall is too large it may look silly or likewise, the room is small then the artwork may be too dominating.
Professional bevelled border surrounds the artwork
WEIGHT: 1.5Kg - it is important to keep this in mind when hanging, although it is not "heavy" it still needs a secure hook or rail to support it properly.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Artwork is not faded or discoloured in any way. No "fly spots" or foxing type marks (due to degradation of the art paper over time)
Glass is not cracked or scratched, very clean
Frame is substantially undamaged, meaning no scratching, no significant "dents" and certainly no damage to the corners.
Hanging cord is in very good condition and not stretched
