HISTORY:
My "world" is 'the arts' and more specifically, music, artwork and hand crafted/decorated chinaware's.
I am not a film enthusiast but an associate has asked me to find new owners for THEIR large collection of photographic and film items ... this is one of those items.

UNIDENTIFIED - Super 8//8mm Film Reels
These are offered separately and by using the selection box on this page, you can select one or more of these reels. An automatic discount is applied when purchasing all three (if they all remain available)
Made in Japan
600 Feet (8" diameter)
Each reel has different characteristics, I refer to these reels as A, B & C
REEL A:
Plastic translucent Smokey Grey
Stamped into each side MADE IN JAPAN
Has the expected film length scales on each side
REEL B: SORRY BUT I AM SOLD NOW
Plastic translucent frosty Clear
No origin country is indicated on the reel at all although the owner of this film gear stated this was purchased in Japan years ago.
Interesting in that this reel looks to have been manufactured as a "dual purpose" reel, having a small film and also a musical symbol stamped into the plastic AND the film/tape measurement scales are not only in feet and metres but also have separate scales for audio tape or film.
The physical characteristics (diameter, width, centre hub) are all identical to the other film reels being offered.
REEL C: SORRY BUT I AM SOLD NOW
Plastic opaque Dark Grey
Stamped into each side MADE IN JAPAN
Has the expected film length scales on each side, very similar in appearance to REEL A, just a different colour.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
These comments about the condition of the reels being offered equally applies to ALL of the reels I am offering.
USED
CLEAN
NO personal writing on either side
NO significant scratches on either side
*Straight & True*
*I used these to de-spool some of the films onto other reels, no issues with warping!
NO cracks at all or chips in the outside rim area
The original outer cases or cardboard boxes have long gone - I have now individually sealed each reel in clear plastic and it is stored vertical standing. When being shipped, I always create a strong "custom made" box into which these reels can travel safely without the risk of damage or cracking while on the move to their "new projector home"
