Here is something you don't see everyday!
My SU-V2 was a fully functioning amplifier but due to speaker switching issues, I have now parted it out and I got to thinking that some of these discrete semiconductors might be useful for others looking to restore or repair one of these amps.
These Japanese semi parts, from so long ago, can be extremely difficult to find in the marketplace
USED, these transistors & diodes are "pulls" from my another of my beloved amplifier collection.
My Technics SU-V2 has now become an "organ donor" and these spare parts can be EXTREMELY difficult to find if ever you needed to find one.
You might be wondering "why did he turn his amp into an organ donor?"
Its sad but after years of putting up with rather touchy speaker select switches, finally they both failed completely so I could only use the headphone socket.
I am very big on sustainability, re-using or re-purposing equipment (no matter how old it is) because a LOT of EE (Embedded Energy) was used to create these items from our past and to throw something like this away, poison our landfill etc is just so irresponsible.
So I have saved the known working and useful parts ... here is the complete description
I have gone to a lot of time and trouble to ensure the parts are carefully removed, tested where feasible and correctly labelled/packaged - the name of the game is sustainability, saving things that once again can be bought "back to life" - this is certainly not a money making exercise (spent a lot of time on these!)
Technics Amplifier - SPARE PART ONLY
Model: SU-V2 (Australian release model)
Collection of semiconductors as pulled from the Main PCB
Some are not that special (rectifier diodes) but some are very difficult to find these days (Germanium based semi's)
4x rectifier diodes SVDS3V40 1000V 2A GP (D403 ~ D406) *Panasonic part number
3x small signal switching diodes PANASONIC MA162A (D301,D302,D312)
8x small signal detector Germanium diodes 20A90 (D303 ~ D310)
1x rectifier diode SVDSR1K2 (D603) 600V 1A GP Function in circuit: Bias *Panasonic part number
1x zener 5V MA2150B (D408)
1x zener 8V MA2180B (D407)
2x 2SC2632-R transistor (Q316 ~ Q317) Function in circuit: constant current
2x 2SA1124-R transistor (Q315 ~ Q316) Function in circuit: pre driver
2x 2SC1845-E transistor (Q601 ~ Q602) Function in circuit: current detector
5x 2SC1815-Y transistor (Q305 ~ Q308, Q604) Function in circuit: differential, relay hold
3x 2SA1015-Y transistor (Q603, Q313, Q314) Function in circuit: relay hold, emitter follower
4x 2SC2320-L transistor (Q301 ~ Q304) Function in circuit: buffer
4X 2SA564-R transistor (Q309 ~ Q312) Function in circuit: current mirror NOTE: Service manual denotes these as 2SA666A1, it appears the device type has been changed but not documented, these are original devices not repair substitutes. I haven't dug deeper on this, it may be that your own SU-V2 has these same 2SA564's fitted anyway.
COSMETIC CONDITION:
Clean leads ready for installing on PCB
NO LEADS HAVE BEEN CUT, ALL ARE DE-SOLDERED (QUICKLY!)
Some of the type numbers are difficult to read, I have "bagged" them according to type number
All of these semiconductors will be supplied as in the photograph, clearly (separately) bagged and identified.
TESTING:
OK, all of these devices are used, previously in-circuit but fully functioning. I have no reason to expect any issues with these pulled parts.
I have tested all the diodes (being quite delicate with the glass envelopes) - all are fine
I have NOT tested each and every transistor device, I am offering these untested but fully expect there to be no issues
Packed in a sealed plastic bag to protect it from the environment and keep it in good condition, ready for reuse.
