Oh Dear! This item has been sold but take a look around for other similar items

My SU-V2 was a fully functioning amplifier but due to speaker switching issues, I have now parted it out and I now have complete audio input module.

My Technics SU-V2 has now become an "organ donor" and this module (or parts therein) would be EXTREMELY difficult to find, if ever you needed to find one.

You might be wondering "why did he turn his amp into an organ donor?"

It's sad but after years of putting up with rather touchy speaker select switches, finally they both failed completely so I could only use the headphone socket.

I am very big on sustainability, re-using or re-purposing equipment (no matter how old it is) because a LOT of EE (Embodied Energy) was used to create this module and to throw something like this away, poison our landfill etc is just so irresponsible and such a waste of expended energy.

Anyway, here is the complete module description

Technics Amplifier - SPARE PART ONLY

Model: SU-V2 (Australian release model)

Input Module (only)

Module: GCMK-97X

Description: this is ALL of the input components, the rear RCA connector panel, the two special slide switches which are mechanically activated from the front panel, the PCB and 5 DIN socket for connection to tape equipment.

The PCB is not heavily populated, mainly passive components with just two active devices from Toshiba, type TA7322P.

The TA7322P is a 9 pin SIP package, its function is a high voltage (up to +/- 30V rail) very low noise, high dynamic range preamplifier in a single block.

Datasheets are readily available online

COSMETIC CONDITION:

In excellent physical condition, dust removed

NO PCB cracks/track damage

All external connectors (RCA, DIN and the internal ribbon connector) are all clean and shiny

TESTING:

This module was in-situ and fully functioning prior to removal/dismantling the SU-V2 amplifier.

I would strongly suggest that just as a matter of course, change the electro capacitors (there are only 8 on this board) - they have been on the board for many years and if anything is going to cause trouble in the future, it will be those.

Since removal from the equipment I have now packed this module in a sealed plastic to protect it from accidental damage and the environment to keep it in good condition, ready for reuse.

Condition exactly as described Non-returnable used product
