Removed from a Navman Halo Qube 2.0 AVL (Automatic Vehicle Location) system - fleet management equipment.
This module provides the data communications from the module via the mobile telephone network.
It could be used as a "drop in" replacement module or for experimentation where data communications are required M2M using the mobile telephone network.
Wavecom Wireless CPU Module
Model: GR64 (001)
Quad band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz)
This variant of the GR64 has no USB interface nor a SIM card holder
This means the system micro-controller is situated "off board" and communicates with this module - a block diagram of the architecture is shown.
Supplied with the extensive Integrators Manual (104 pages) which provides detail for the developer
60 pin standard 1.27mm pitch connector
Supplied with the antenna lead terminated in a panel mount BNC female connector but no mobile network antenna is supplied.
Excellent condition, clean and undamaged.
2x mounting stand-offs with screws (supplied in case they are useful)
Removed under safe ESD conditions and stored on ESD foam, within an ESD sealed bag
Prior to removal from the Halo Qube 2.0, the complete equipment was powered up and I have ensured access to the mobile network with a suitable registered SIM card (holder on the host board) - all is fine.
